AUDITIONS
The School of Cadence Ballet holds auditions for students locally and internationally as well as selecting from International Ballet Competitions.
Auditions for Summer Programs open in September. Professional Training Program auditions begin in January for September of the following year. Deadlines for acceptance depend on when program reaches capacity. Please note this season there are reduced capacity limits for all programs. We encourage dancers to apply early to avoid disappointment.
1. Application Submission:
-
Dancers interested in auditioning must first apply to attend a minimum one-week evaluation. This can be done in two ways:
-
During Intensives: Dancers can apply to attend an intensive session where the evaluation takes place.
-
Short-term Training: Alternatively, dancers can arrange short-term training during the regular season for their evaluation.
-
-
As part of the application, dancers need to:
-
Submit an audition form.
-
Provide required photos.
-
Attend an open class if applicable.
-
Step 1:

Step 4:
ACCEPTANCE: Acceptance letters will be emailed within two weeks of application. Registration will be required no later than two weeks after acceptance has been received to secure your spot.
2. Evaluation Process:
-
After the initial application and acceptance, the dancer proceeds to the evaluation phase.
-
The evaluation typically spans one to three weeks.
-
During this period, the dancer will be assessed on several criteria:
-
Potential: Evaluators will gauge the dancer’s natural ability, talent, and potential for growth.
-
Learning Capacity: They will also assess how quickly and effectively the dancer learns new techniques and routines.
-
This two-step process ensures that the School of Cadence Ballet thoroughly evaluates each candidate before making decisions. It allows them to assess both the initial talent and the ability to develop and grow within their program.
