SCB holds auditions locally and internationally and also selects some students through international ballet competitions.

Professional Training Program Auditions: Begin January 2026 (for September 2026 start)
Summer Intensive Application Process
Open to dancers seeking high-level summer training
The Summer Intensive is designed for dancers seeking focused summer training and an immersive studio experience at SCB. Participation in the Summer Intensive does not require an interest in auditioning for the Professional Training Program.
Application Submission
Dancers must:

Provide required audition photos, attend an audition class, or attend an SCB workshop

Update their SCB client profile photo to match their audition headshot

Professional Training Program Audition Process
Step 1: Application Submission
Dancers must complete Step 1 in order to be considered for the Professional Training Program and to be invited to the Evaluation Week.
Dancers must:

Step 2: Evaluation Week
Dancers who successfully complete Step 1 may be invited to attend an Evaluation Week. The Evaluation Week may be completed in one of the following ways:

During the Summer Intensive

Through a one-week short-term visit during the regular training season

By attending one week of the SCB Workshop Series
During the Evaluation Week, dancers will train for 1–3 weeks and will be assessed on:

Physical Potential: Talent, facility, athleticism, and artistry

Learning Capacity: Focus, adaptability, technical development, and work ethic
